BLEH

Tonight the New York Rangers (16-13-3) lost to the Phoenix Coyotes (15-16-0) by a score of 5-1. For the Coyotes, Joel Perrault scored twice and added an assist in just his second game of the season, and Ilya Bryzgalov rode a strong start after a rare day off and made 34 saves. Dan Girardi scored for the Rangers in the third period. For a full recap go to Yahoo! Sports.

...this is as bad as it gets. At least earlier in the year we could play defense. Now we can't keep the puck out of our net or put it in the opposition's.

...if it wasn't before the game, it's officially time to move Drury to the first line.

...while I was happy with the moves before the game. Renney obviously needs to send a tougher message, because this team isn't playing with any kind of heart. How about sitting Jagr?

...to expand on the lack of heart, I can't believe how much Avery means to this team. Sather better lock this guy up to a multi-year deal after this season.

...we might see Montoya as Lundqvists backup after this game. Valiquette looked mighty shaky to say the least.
