NHL Rescinds Orr Major Penalty

John Dellapina is also reporting at The Blueshirt Blog that the NHL has rescinded the major penalty for interference and game misconduct that Colton Orr was assessed for his collision with Carolina’s Matt Cullen...

"...Upon reviewing the tape at the Rangers’ request, the NHL has rescinded the major penalty for interference and game misconduct that Colton Orr was assessed for his collision with Carolina’s Matt Cullen Wednesday.

While this might anger any of you who have Orr in a fantasy hockey pool that rewards penalty minutes, it gives him more wiggle room. That’s because three game misconducts for illegal hits would add up to an automatic one-game suspension."

...anyone who has seen the hit knows this is obviously the right decision. I don't even think Matt Cullen or the Carolina Hurricanes would argue.
