Rangers vs. Avalanche Preview

Tonight the New York Rangers (17-14-3) complete their two-game mini road trip when they visit the Colorado Avalanche (19-13-2). The Rangers have played the Avalanche just once since 2003, losing 2-1 at Madison Square Garden in December 2005. The Rangers have lost six straight against the Avalanche since January 2002. The Avs had won three in a row and five of six before losing their last game to Anaheim. Goalie Peter Budaj will likely earn his fifth straight start for Colorado on Friday, having allowed two or fewer goals in each of the past four games. For a full recap go to Yahoo! Sports.

...not much to report on the Rangers yet today. The only change I'm expecting in the lineup tonight would be inserting Hossa. His presence is needed on the PK. Might even see him on the 3rd line, which struggled to get any offense going last night.

...hoping to see a bounce back game from Lundqvist tonight. He has been far from his steller self lately, as he has allowed 4 or more goals in 4 of the last 6 games.

...I'll have more later.
