Rangers vs. Yotes Preview

Tonight the New York rangers (16-12-3) host the Phoenix Coyotes (14-16-0). The Rangers have won three straight against the Coyotes, but the teams have played only once since 2003, with the Rangers winning 7-3 on the road on Oct. 28, 2006. Jaromir Jagr had a goal and three assists while Straka had two goals and an assist. The Phoenix franchise is just 1-8-1 in its last 10 games at Madison Square Garden, dating to 1991, when the team was still the Winnipeg Jets. Tonight's game also marks Wayne Gretzky's first return to the Garden since his final game on April 18, 1999. For a full preview go to Yahoo! Sports.

...lots of changes to the lineup with Dawes and Moore being called up. According to Sam Weinman at the Rangers Report: Dawes will skate on the second line (its about time), with Moore on the third line and Jason Strudwick will be playing left wing with Hollweg sitting in the press box. That also means Malik is in the starting lineup.

...now if you think those are the only major changes you are mistaken as Valiquette gets the start tonight with Lundqvist, who is still suffering from the flu, as the backup.

...love all the moves. This really proves to me that Renney won't stand for the lackluster play coming from the Rangers recently.

...sorry for the late info today, too busy caught up in my fantasy football playoffs.
