Dawes Scores Twice in Wolf Pack Win

Bruce Berlett at the Hartford Current reports that Nigel Dawes scored two goals the other night in a 5-2 Wolf Pack victory...

"... Nigel Dawes' first of two goals started the second-period onslaught, which was capped by Greg Moore.... Dawes got the Pack started at 8:42 with a shot from the right circle off Pierre Parenteau's drop pass... Dawes got the winner at 11:03 when he took a pass from Jake Taylor and beat Daniel Taylor, who was replaced by Erik Ersberg after allowing three goals on 18 shots..."

...as a huge advocate for Dawes you would think that I have more fodder to state my case for him being with the big club. But I've taken a different side after reading this story. Maybe Dawes is a great minor league player and that's it. Maybe he just can't play at the NHL level. He seems to tear it up in Hartford then when he comes up to the Rangers not so much. He's like the Crash Davis of minor league hockey.

...I just got a text message stating that I've been impeached as President of the Nigel Dawes fan club.
