Flame Out

Last night the New York Rangers (20-16-4) were defeated by the Calgary Flames (19-14-7) 4-3. Jarome Iginla scored two goals and Kristian Huselius had a goal and three assists for the Flames. Michal Roszival, Brandon Dubinsky and Brendan Shanahan all scored for the Rangers, while Scott Gomez and Jaromir Jagr both had two assists. For full recap go to Yahoo! Sports.

...is it time to start worrying about Lundqvist. He let in two pretty bad goals, especially the last one, which left the Rangers with no chance to come back. Lundqvist better hope he signs this contract soon because he's loosing money by the minute.

...Dubinsky was by far the best player on the ice last night. The kid was all over the place and was rewarded with a beautiful goal on a great give and go with Avery.

...speaking of Avery, one thing we're going to have to live with are calls going against this guy. There is no way Avery should have been assessed a penalty for jawing with Kiprusoff, especially when Kiprusoff initiated it.

...I was happy with the effort last night, but it came down to their goalie played better than ours.

...and can we please get rid of both Malik and Hossa. Malik gets out muscled in the corner directly leading to the first Flames goal and then Hossa can't finish at the side of the net in the second. Release these two immediately.

I think Hank was too busy thinking about how much money he's gonna get when he allowed that 4th goal last night. Good Lord that was was brutal.
