Cloutier Having Tough Time With Kings

Iain MacIntyre at the Vancouver Sun chronicles ex-Ranger goalie Dan Cloutier's time with the Los Angeles Kings...

"Cloutier admits he hasn't stopped nearly enough pucks since Canucks general manager Dave Nonis convinced Kings GM Dean Lombardi to give up a second-round pick for him after Vancouver had acquired Roberto Luongo.

But harder than stopping the puck was the feeling Cloutier had -- has -- that the Kings weren't doing much to help him...

...The Kings, it turns out, were the worst career option for Cloutier. And, to be fair, he turned out to be a lousy option for them."

...man what happened to the guy that beat the crap out of Tommy Salo. Cloutier was a big time Ranger fan favorite because of his willingness to drop the gloves.

...Cloutier had some nice years with Vancouver, including three straight 30+ win seasons, but it looks like since he was traded to the Kings his career has gone downhill.

...here's a nice little flashback for ya Dan...
