Rangers vs. Devils Preview

Tonight the New York Rangers (38-26-9) visit the New Jersey Devils (42-24-6) at The Rock. For a full preview go to Yahoo! Sports.

- The Rangers are 5-0-0 vs. the Devils this year

- The Rangers seek their first three-game winning streak in New Jersey since Nov. 30, 1993-April 2, 1994, the season they last won the Stanley Cup.

- The Rangers have won 4 of 6.

- Lundqvist has been in net for each meeting against the Devils this season, posting two shutouts and a 0.79 GAA in those games. Lundqvist is 10-2-3 with a 1.43 GAA in 15 lifetime starts. He is also 3-2-2 with a 1.81 GAA in seven at New Jersey.

- Since Feb. 2 the Devils are 14-4-3 and have won 5 out of 6.

- This season Martin Brodeur is 0-3-2 with a 1.98 GAA against the Rangers. In 74 career starts, Brodeur is 38-18-3 with 15 ties, seven shutouts and a 2.06 goals-against average.

...really looking forward to tonight's game. Should have a real playoff atmosphere. With the Rangers looking to get closer to securing a playoff spot and the Devils trying to keep the Rangers from breathing down their necks for the Division title should be a great one.

...Avery was interviewed by Al Trautwig after the game last night and said he was looking forward to bothering Brodeur tonight. And we all know what happens when Avery bothers Brodeur...

...even with the Rangers power play continuing to struggle I doubt we'll see a change in the lineup. Especially with the only candidate to sit, Straka, coming off one of his best efforts all year.

...according to Steve Zipay at Blue Notes, for the Devils, Patrik Elias will be scratched and defenseman Colin White will return to the lineup.
