Stayin' Alive

Last Night the New York Rangers defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins by a score of 3-0 to stave off elimination and cut the Penguins lead in their Eastern Conference Semi-Final match-up to 3-1. For a full recap go to Yahoo! Sports.

...Jagr is playing circa 1996 right now. This guy has taken the team on his shoulders and is refusing to lose this series. I think last night was the first "Ja-Gr" chant I've heard at MSG. If he can keep this up you never know.

...the King was back last night. If Lundqvist played like that the entire series, we're up 3-1 instead of being down 1-3.

...I hope after the game Girardi took Lundqvist out for some drinks or dinner because he bailed him out all night. None bigger than the penalty shot. And what was up with that move by Malkin? Was he even trying?

...by the way Crosby has no goals in the series.

...with Betts down and Drury hurting, it was great to see our young stud centerman Dubinsky step up with a goal and an assist. This kid is a player.

...I liked the Renney's move inserting Strudwick for Backman. While Strudwick is much slower he is much more sound defensively and is physical in the corners. I think we'll see Strudwick play the rest of the series.

...I wasn't big fan of Hollweg being back out there, but he played a smart game (amazing) and didn't take any penalties (double amazing). Plus the team is 5-2 with him in the line-up during the playoffs.

...we got it back to Pittsburgh. The next goal is a Game 6 at MSG.
