Mike Zeisberger at the Toronto Sun reports Mats Sundin isn't in a hurry to re-sign with the Maple Leafs or sign with the Canadiens (the Leafs gave the Canadiens permission to negotiate with Sundin before July 1st) and might wait until July 1st..."If he really wants to become a member of the bleu blanc et rouge, he can sign on that day. Or he might sit back and see who the highest bidder is, with the New York Rangers expected to join the Canadiens in the Sundin auction."
...if this report is true it's very puzzling. The last thing this team needs is an aging center. Unless the plan is to move Drury to the wing. But even then I wouldn't be happy with this report.
