Nolan Out As Islanders Coach

Greg Logan at Newsday is reporting...

"The two-year marriage of inconvenience between Islanders general manager Garth Snow and coach Ted Nolan ended Monday. Irreconcilable differences over the direction of the franchise led to a mutual decision by Snow and Nolan, who met earlier Monday morning at Nassau Coliseum, to part ways."

...if you're an Islander fan just kill yourself. The only thing the Islanders had going for them was Nolan and now he's gone because a back-up goalie with no GM experience couldn't see eye-to-eye with him. I bet Streit and Weight are rethinking signing with this circus act. I think owner Charles Wang might end up going behind the bench.

...if the Rangers falter this year, I would love to see Nolan behind our bench.
