Rangers, Sjostrom Agree to Terms

Newyorkrangers.com reports...

"New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that the club has agreed to terms with restricted free agent forward Fredrik Sjostrom."

Steve Zipay at Blue Notes has this on the terms....

"Freddie Sjostrom, the winger who was acquired from Phoenix at the trade deadline last season, has accepted the team's $840,000, 1-year, qualifying offer..."

...nice to have Sjostrom back in the fold. Hopefully he can regain some of the magic that made him a first round draft pick.

In other free agency news, TSN is reporting, the Florida Panthers avoided arbitration by agreeing to terms on a one-year, $4.875 million contract with defenseman Jay Bouwmeester.
