Avery Still At It

Chris Kuk at Tribune Icing (Chicago Tribune Hockey Blog) reports on a verbal altercation between Blackhawks Head Coach Denis Savard and Dallas players Steve Ott and, you guessed it, Sean Avery during a recent preseason game...

Between periods of the game that featured 141 penalty minutes, five fights, three misconducts and a match penalty, Savard got into an oral altercation in the tunnel to the dressing rooms with Dallas' Steve Ott and known agitator Sean Avery.

"It was one of those things where Ott said to me, 'I'm going to go after [Hawks forward Jack] Skille,'" Savard said after practice at the Edge in Bensenville. "I answered back to him, 'If you go after Skille I'll send everybody after you.' Then Avery jumped in there kind of mouthing off.

...man even NHL Legends aren't off limits for Avery.

...hat tip to Slap Shot for the link.
