Len Ziehm at the Chicago Sun Times reports that Blackhawks left wing Ben Eager drew a three-game suspension from the NHL on Wednesday for a stick-swinging incident with Sean Avery in a preseason game last Thursday at Dallas and will miss Friday's game against the Rangers...
"Eager, on the Hawks' bench at the time, swung his stick at Avery, who was on the ice. Eager was given a match penalty and drew the suspension after a hearing Wednesday."

...not that Eager is a great player, but hopefully the Rangers will be able to exploit the lack of toughness in the Blackhawks line-up.
