And You Thought We Couldn't Hold A Lead

For the second straight game, tonight's opponent, the New York Islanders blew a three goal third period lead last night. The only thing that kept Isles fans from jumping off a cliff was that they were actually able to re-group and defeat the Columbus Blue Jackets in OT. Unlike Saturday night when they gave up 4 third period goals in a 5-4 loss to Montreal.

Throw in the fact that the Islanders are going with Joey MacDonald as their starting goaltender now that Rick DiPietro is out for another 4-6 weeks with more knee surgery (Did Milbury really trade Roberto Luongo to make room for this human injury?), and it looks like the last place Islanders don't have much of a chance tonight at MSG.

But beware Ranger fans. Despite the Islanders possibly being tired from an overtime game last night, they are 7-1-1 in their last 9 at MSG and would like nothing more than starting a winning streak by taking it to the Rangers in front of the hometown fans.
