Benching Has Dubinsky Playing Tentative

Just an observation but since Tom Renney benched Brandon Dubinsky for taking two ill-advised penalties against the Islanders on October 27, he hasn't seemed like the same player.

In the four games since, Dubinsky has 0 goals, 1 assist with only 7 shots on goal. In the four games prior, he had 1 goal, 3 assists and 16 shots on goal.

It looks like Dubinsky has lost his aggressiveness. Almost like he's now scared to take a bad penalty. There's certain times when you don't even realize Dubinsky's in the line-up he's so invisible.

For Dubinsky to be effective he needs to play a physical, hardworking game. And right now he is playing very tentative.

'Playstation' linemate Aaron Voros seemed to find his game last night, so let's hope Dubinsky isn't that far behind.

Did anyone see if Voros did anything that got the goalie so pissed? I mean besides standing in front and screening and thing dirty?

I think that's all he was doing...Dubie was kinda quiet a few games before the benching...maybe he's so young he took it personal?

I was at the game last night and it didn't appear that Voros did anything other than stand in front. In fact earlier in the game he had a collision with Smith, who was out of the crease, when Smith got up he slashed Voros right in front of the ref and Nothing was called. This guy Smith seems like a bit of a hot head.

Have to agree with all. Voros was doing nothing other than his job standing in front of the goal causing havoc. Could you imagine what Smith would have done if Voros pulled an Avery?
