Lundqvist Named NHL's No. 2 Star in October

Newyorkrangers.com is reporting that Henrik Lundqvist was recognized by the National Hockey League as the league's No. 2 Star for the month of October.

Lundqvist led all NHL goaltenders in victories posting an 8-2-1 record with a 1.99 goals-against average and .928 save percentage in October.

Washington left wing Alexander Semin was named No. 1 star and Nashville Predators defenseman Shea Weber No. 3.

...the guy was absolutely ridiculous last month. Any concern about his knees (see here) have been quelled by Lundqvist's start to this season. We'd probably be under .500 without his stellar play so far this year.

...now Lundqvist just needs to sustain this for the entire year. Something he hasn't done in his first three years in the league.
