Zherdev A Deserving All-Star

As I mentioned last week there are a number of deserving Ranger players not on the All-Star ballot, John Grigg at The Hockey News looks at snubs at each position including a Ranger newcomer...

At right wing I’m going with a newcomer to the East, the Rangers’ Nikolai Zherdev. After disappointing in Columbus, Zherdev has been arguably his team’s best player this season. And with five goals, 14 points and plus-9 rating, he’s got the numbers to prove it.

...after last night Zherdev now has 7 goals and 16 points even furthering his case for an all-star nod.

...on defense Grigg goes with Florida's Keith Ballard (2 goals, 8 assists, +2). Huh? How about Dan Girardi with his 2 goals, 12 assists and +4?

Zherdev and Girardi are both very deserving. I think if both keep it up all season long, Rozsival will be on his way out and his money will go to Zherdev and Girardi.

On a side note, I have a new nomination for the worst rumor of all time, published by the Toronto Sun/ESPN and Spectorshockey.net, The NY Rangers being interested in former Anaheim Ducks GM Brian Burke.

I'm SO close to buying a Zherdev t-shirt. When is it "ok" to pull the trigger on one?

I have actually yet to see a Zherdev jersey shirt online, do they sell them at the garden?

I'm pretty sure they sell them at the Garden. If not, the new Cosby's must have them, no?
