Canadiens 6, Rangers 3

The New York Rangers (24-15-3) lost to the Montreal Canadiens (23-10-6) by the score of 6-3, tonight. For a recap and box score go to Yahoo! Sports.

...to tell you the truth, I'm not too upset over this loss. I thought they played hard and battled all night. Unfortunately for the Rangers, Lundqvist had a few brain farts in the first period and they were undermined by an atrocious hooking call on Voros in the third period that opened up the flood gates.

...i am loving Petr Prucha right now. The question is, do they look to trade him while his stock is high or hold on to him hoping that he can sustain this for the rest of the year? My vote is for keeping the guy.

...quietly Rozsival is turning his season around very quickly. He now has five goals in his last seven games giving him seven goals and 14 assists on the season. Maybe he was worth all that money. OK maybe not. Now we just need to work on Redden finding his game.

...the first two lines seem to be working very well, unfortunately the Playstation Line is having a tough time rekindling some of that early season magic. Maybe sticking Fritsche in there over Voros could do the trick.

...in case anyone didn't notice, Lang's empty netter to clinch the game was a short-handed goal giving the Rangers 13 short-handed against this season. Oh yeah and another o'fer on the power play.

...the next five games are on the road for the Rangers starting on Friday night in Buffalo.

Hank sucked tonight!

Games like this I kinda miss Jagr. I almost felt like they needed ONE guy to just dominate to make something happen.

What happened to Lundqvist? Halak wasn't great either but Henrik looked awful on the first two goals.

Hank looked like Richter trying to play the puck last night on that 1st goal. He was not good tonight, but how often over the course of the season might you say that...Not to mention, the Rangers dont get out of the 1st period against the Pens the other night without Hank!

Awful call on Voros...leave it at that!

Can anyone tell me what Gomez is doing for his team....His holding the stick penalty was a killer, he is producing no offense for this team, unless you count his empty net goals, and seems to be a turnover machine that plays poor defense in his zone.....
Finally....maybe Dubi needs to see the bench for a rest.....1 goal in his last 31 games...OUCH!!!

Gomez skates around and around and around the rink then coughs up the puck. Ok he has 19 assists but...

It looked like the Habs kept shooting for Hanks weak high gloveside

I agree, Dubinsky needs to watch a game or 2 from the press box.
