Messier Ready to Return

Adam Kimelman at NHL.com reports that Mark Messier feels the time might finally be here to take a more active role with an NHL team, and that most likely would be the Rangers.

Kimelman reports that while Glen Sather thinks Messier is best suited for an executive position, both Mike Richter and Brian Leetch think he'd be an excellent coach.

...sign him up as head coach right now. This team needs some fire and I can guarantee you this Rangers team would be spitting fire with Messier behind the bench.

...and speaking of executive positions, i actually think Renney would be better suited in one for the Rangers. He's always been known for having an eye for young talent. How about head of scouting? Who's with me?

Im so with you.

How much longer can anyone, the fans, the players, the coaching staff, watch this anemic non-style of hockey.

lets start with a new coach and go from there.

As long as lundquist is in goal, it CANT get worse.
