Panthers 2, Rangers 1, SO

The New York Rangers (30-20-6) lost to the Florida Panthers (28-19-8) by the score of 2-1 in a shootout, tonight. For a recap and box score go to Yahoo! Sports.

...while I appreciate the effort and hard work tonight, will somebody score some freakin' goals. We are now dead last in the NHL in goals scored per game with 2.33. As well as last in shooting % with a paltry 7.5%. Ouch.

...it's gotten so bad we can't even score in the shootout. o-for-4 tonight.

...without Lundqvist the Rangers easily lose this game by three or four goals. His third period save on Horton was out of control.

...ok it's now officially, officially time for Prucha to be re-inserted into the line-up. Although with the Flyers in town on Sunday, I find it doubtful that we'll see him in there. We have to be physical.

...another loss we can pin on the power play. A golden opportunity with four minutes left and we can't cash in. 1 for their last 25. Weren't the Panthers interested in Perry Pearn as their head coach this off-season. Maybe we can leave him down there so the Panthers can hire him as a special counsel or something.

...i got nothing else.

...day off tomorrow then the Flyers on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. for NBC 'Game of the Week.'

Something realy has to be done with the power play. Hank was amazing in the game. After thinking about it, Hank's midseason "slump" could have just been Hank being exhausted with carrying the team on his own most of the time. Let's hope they left Pern behind in Florida.
