Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants reports that Phoenix Coyotes GM Don Maloney was at MSG tonight to speak with Glen Sather and Islanders GM Garth Snow before moving on to scout the Flyers.
Gross says Maloney is no different than any other NHL GM right now, testing the waters, trying to make a deal before the March 4 deadline.
Gross adds that if the Rangers and Coyotes make a deal, it'll probably be for lesser players with draft picks/minor leaguers involved.
...Sather has a reputation of dealing with friends so this could be more than just a 'testing the waters' visit from Maloney.
