Rangers Could Show Interest in Sullivan

Scott Burnside at ESPN.com says that the Rangers could be a team interested in taking a flyer on Nashville Predator forward Steve Sullivan who has missed the last two years because of a back injury.

Sullivan returned to the Predators line-up on January 10th and has recorded three assists in 11 games since.

Sullivan had scored 53 goals in the two years prior to his back injury. He is in the last year of his contract that pays him $3.2 million this year.

...Sullivan probably wouldn't cost the Rangers much in a trade, but they'd still have to make some moves cap wise and if they're going to bring in a rental player for the rest of the year I'd rather it be someone who is less of a question mark. This would be a high risk, high reward move if Sullivan is able to rediscover his scoring touch from two years ago.

"... if Sullivan is able to rediscover his scoring touch from two years ago." That's a well known line around these parts. Swap Sullivan for ___________. You fill in the blank with a couple Rangers.
