Rangers Interested in Morris

The Fourth Period is reporting that the Rangers have set their sights on Phoenix Coyotes defenseman Derek Morris.

TFP adds that Morris has expressed his interest in staying in Phoenix where the two sides are discussing a contract extension.

Morris who has 5 goals, 7 assists and is a -12 on the season is in the final year of his contract that pays him $3.9 million this year.

Finally, TFP says that the Rangers have $950,000 of cap space, which would give them enough space to sign Morris.

...the Rangers need help on the power play and bringing in Morris who has exactly zero goals on the power play this year, probably won't help.

What do you think of this Rangers claim Mark Bell from Toronto on re-entry waiver and his salary is 2.5 million which will be split between the Rangers and Toronto.
So how does Avery's salary fit?
Is this the end of Voros? Bell is 6'4.
