Renney Watch Is On

Steve Zipay at Blue Notes wonders if the Rangers flight home last night could have been the last trip for coach Tom Renney.

Zipay says if the Rangers lose to the Maple Leafs tonight, Renney could be fired sometime between the loss and the Rangers next game in Toronto on Wednesday.

Zipay adds that Assistant GM Jim Schoenfeld is a possible replacement.

...not sure if I'm more tired of the team's play or 'Renney Watch' articles.

Fire Sather. He has no clue how to build a team. Look at his great moves: Redden (washed up), Drury,Naslund,
Gomez (needs wingers), Kalinin (zero),now considering Avery. The team needs scorers. Personally, I
think the only untouchable Ranger is
Staal. I would trade any of the rest
to get players to build around. Even
Lundqvist could go, he's overrated.
No coach will win with this bunch.

The Renney watch articles are so easy to write.

Lundqvist and Staal and Zherdev are the keepers.

Other keepers besides Lundqvist, Staal and Zherdev would have to be Betts, Cally, Mara and Dubinsky.
