Thrashers 2, Rangers 1, SO

The New York Rangers (29-18-5) lost to the Atlanta Thrashers (18-29-5) by the score of 2-1 in a shootout, tonight. For a recap and box score go to Yahoo! Sports.

...on a night when the Rangers organization celebrated the "Heart of a Ranger" not a single current Ranger, except for maybe Zherdev, showed any of it. The effort tonight was a slap in the face to Adam Graves.

...the late Naslund goal doesn't mean anything to me as it was more a byproduct of Kovalchuk missing an empty net than the Rangers working hard to score.

...i told you the Rangers should have cancelled the game.

...as far as the ceremony. It was everything I thought it would be and more. The crowd was great, Graves' speech was on point, Messier cried and the cast of the Soprano's showed up. I've got to give credit to the Rangers organization for getting pretty much every cast member, minus Jamie-Lynn Sigler. Where's the Rangers love Jamie?

...trust me I'd love to give you guys more analysis but there's just so little to talk about. Solid defense, great pk, no offense, awful power play. Did I miss anything?

...the Rangers are off tomorrow and Thursday before heading out to Dallas to take on the Avery-less Stars.

Man, what a lame game. The Rangers in 60 cut 90% of it out...whatever.

Zherdev was on fire, Nazzy looked good Dubinsky had passion.

Gomez was the usual ice dancing, puck coughing awesome skater he usually is...from the 15 minutes I saw of the rewind it didn't look all that hot. Zero fire.

Fire Renney? Try a new "system?" What does that even mean, anyway?

Who is in charge of this team?
