If things weren't bad enough, a look at the standings this morning shows with Florida Panthers and Buffalo Sabres victories last night the Rangers are sitting in the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
The Rangers are actually tied with the Montreal Canadiens, Panthers and Sabres with 66 points, however, the Canadiens and Panthers have a game in hand and the Sabres lead the season series against the Rangers at 2-0-0 (one of the wins was in OT).
