Torts Switches Up Lines

Jane McManus at The Rangers Report says made his first major switches since taking over by sending out these lines...

Antropov-Drury-Dubinsky
Avery-Gomez-Zherdev
Naslund-Korpikoski-Callahan
Sjostrom-Betts-Orr

Mara-Rozsival
Morris-Redden
Staal-Girardi

McManus adds that Antropov sat out today's practice after getting “banged up” in the 3-0 loss to Carolina, but Tortorella said he would be ready to go tomorrow.

Lundqvist, who is still recovering from the flu, is also expected back tomorrow.

...i think the biggest news here is the demotion of Naslund to the third line. Guess Torts doesn't feel that he's quick enough to play on one the the top two lines.

...Naslund's demotion means Avery's promotion, which I'm a big fan of. Avery played on the top line with Jagr and Dubinsky for a long stretch last year and succeeded mightily. So he's proved he can handle the extra responsibility and minutes.
