Drury In; Ovechkin Talks Avery

Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants reports that John Tortorella confirmed that Chris Drury will be in the line-up tonight.

No word on possible line-up changes.

While Steve Zipay at Blue Notes (I hope he's ok with me linking to his blog) posts this quote from Alex Ovechkin on the Capitals lack of response to Sean Avery's punch to the face of Washington's starting goalie Simeon Varlamov...

"That's what our team did best. We didn't do a stupid thing with him and answer back. You could see with John Erskine. It was a pretty tough decision to...don't kill him. Especially when he touched our goalie at the end of the game."

Ovechkin also talks about Avery's disrespect of goalies and references The Grate One's screening activities on Martin Brodeur in last year's playoffs.

...not sure playing Drury is the best thing for the team, but I'll put my trust in Tortorella to make the right decision.
