Rangers 4, Flyers 3

The New York Rangers (43-30-9) defeated the Philadelphia Flyers (44-27-11) by the score of 4-3, today. For a recap and box score go to Yahoo! Sports.

...sure it was a meaningless win in the standings, but from a confidence standpoint that was a big time win against a tough team.

...finally a great third period under Tortorella!!!

...gutless is the only word I have for Lupul who hit Avery from behind with no time left in the game. While Avery is fine (and got a couple of nice punches in on Hartnell) that could have been a major blow to the Rangers Stanley Cup chances if Avery had to miss any significant time.

...very happy to see Betts, one of the hardest working Rangers, get the game winner in the last game of the season.

...congrats to Lundqvist on his career best 38th win.

...talk about a confidence building game for Dubinsky. Couldn't have happened at a better time.

...was that an Aaron Voros sighting or did someone drug my chocolate Easter Bunny?

...now that the regular season is over it's time for the real season. Let's step it up Ranger fans.

Nice way to finish the season, with a confidence building come from behind win on the road.

Congratz to Hank for his career best 38th win and to Avery for plugging the ZZ-top look-a-like with a couple of rights a the end of the game.

I wonder if the NHL will hand Lupul a 1-game suspension, for a clear, cheap-shot..but it was Avery, and unfortunately the NHL has a different set of standards when it concerns him.

Caps/Rangers will be a good one.

I should probably be focusing on the up coming games but keep looking to the off season not because of lack of confidence( well maybe some at times).
depending on how much he wants and i expect him to want a raise i don't want zherdev to come back. over the last month he has been non existent.
What do you think about bringing back Zherdev?? 3 months ago i thought it was a sure thing. Callahan and dubi should be prioritys.

This is exactly what we need going into the playoffs... Multiple goals from multiple lines. When a band of misfits like Redden, Voros and Betts are scoring you know we are doing well.
