Rangers Play Since Trading Deadline Gives Hope

Jeff Z. Klein at Slap Shots takes a look at the Rangers numbers since the trade deadline which should give Ranger fans hope for a first round upset of the Capitals...

"Here’s a glimmer: New York’s record in the 18 games since they picked up Nik Antropov, Sean Avery and Derek Morris at the March 4 trade deadline is quite good. The Rangers won 10 in regulation and 1 more in a shootout while losing 1 in a shootout and 6 more in regulation. That 10-1-1-6 record works out to a very respectable .611 winning percentage."

Klein also looks at the increased offensive output and plus/minus of each player.

...i think Ranger fans should be very excited for what should be a great series.
