Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants has this quote from John Tortorella on Nikolai Zherdev's stuggles in the playoffs..."Our game breakers have to be better and Nik is a guy who can a goal and we hope he's going to do that. It's his first playoff series and this is part of the process. It's a learning experience for him and we have to try to help him as coaches."
Zherdev is scoreless on four shots in the first two games while averaging 11 minutes.
...i like the way Tortorella down played Zherdev's struggles. Nik is the type of player that could really fall apart if he felt his coach was coming down on him.
