Rangers Trade Fahey to Avalanche

TSN reports that the Rangers have traded D Brian Fahey to the Colorado Avalanche for Nigel Williams.

Williams was Colorado's second selection in 2006. He had 21 points in 70 games for the Lake Erie Monsters last season.

...wasn't Fahey fighting for the final defensive spot on the Rangers last training camp. Now he's traded without ever getting a chance. What the heck happened down in Hartford?

Who cares if Fahey "never got a real shot"?? He was a 28 year old career AHLer, and he landed us a 21 year old, 6'4, 220+lb. prospect, who is ranked #3 in the avalanche system. Screw him. It's not like he helped the team last year and now the Rangers will have to replace his production. Sather absolutely raped the Avalanche on this one.
