Bourque Likes Parise's Style

Over at NHL.com's Traverse City Notebook they report that Rangers prospect Ryan Bourque is a big fan of Devils forward Zach Parise...

"Well, besides the influence of my dad and my brother (Chris), the player I really enjoy watching in the National League right now is (Devils forward) Zach Parise," Bourque told NHL.com. "I like what he brings to the game -- his consistency and his second effort on pucks. I really admire what he can bring to the table."

...the 5' 9" forward should definately keep his eye on Parise as he's one of the better forwards in the league despite his small stature.

Also Leslie Treff at Hockey's Future continues her coverage at Traverse with this report on the Rangers Day four victory...

"Roman Horak continues to impress in his first year at the tournament. While he didn't put numbers up on the scoresheet, his solid work in both zones, in all situations, was very noticeable. Also noticeable was the work of Chad Johnson in net. The former Univ. of Alaska Fairbanks netminder saved 32 of 35 shots on the night, plus a penalty shot. Very strong down low and willing to go out to challenge the shooter on almost every shot, Johnson has been solid in both of his appearances here in Traverse City."

...its nice to see positive reports coming out of Traverse on prospects other than Gravchev, Del Zotto and Bourque as it really highlights the depth of the organization.
