Bruins 2, Rangers 1

The New York Rangers lost to the Boston Bruins by the score of 2-1, tonight. For a recap go to Yahoo! Sports.

...it took the Rangers 2 1/2 periods, but they finally showed some glimpse of the pressure offense Tortorella preaches.

...really encouraged by Higgins goal. We Ranger fans aren't used to Blueshirt players standing in front of the net and scoring on a rebound.

...speaking of encouraged, both Gilroy and Del Zotto looked like they belonged in the NHL. Especially Gilroy, who, if he hadn't already, pretty much locked up the fifth defensive spot with an outstanding performance. He was all over the ice tonight.

...on the other end, I was really disappointed with the lack of energy from some forwards who I thought would play with some desperation knowing they're on the bubble to make this team including Lisin, Boyle, Byers and Anisimov.

...Ranger fans please stop booing Brashear. He's on the damn team. Get over it.

...didn't realize Kotalik had such a cannon. I'm really going to enjoy watching him bomb it from the point on the power play this year.

...no Betts, two power play goals against. Coincidence, I think not.

...loving Maccarone's Strudwick mustache.

...did I dream this or did Sam announce that Mike Keenan was going to be a guest analyst for the Rangers this year?

...right back at it tomorrow night as the Rangers take on the New Jersey Devils at the Rock.

I was in the blue seats and Kotalik's cannon was frightening me... that thing is high octane. As a ranger fan, its nice to see someone dropping bombs from the point.
