Jagr Scores Hat Trick in Avangard Opener

Beyond the Blueshirts reports that Jaromir Jagr picked up a hat trick in Avangard 5-4 win against Dinamo Riga yesterday.

Former New York Ranger Marcel Hossa had an assist for the losing side.

...i'm sure Jagr misses the spotlight of the NHL, but from what I've seen it looks like he's enjoying himself in the KHL. Minus the Cherepanov tragedy.

Although Stan Fischler at MSG.com disagrees wondering if Jagr regrets leaving New York...

"Talk about going from a BIG SPLASH to a drop-in-the-bucket, how about our old buddy, Jaromir Jagr, formerly the toast of Broadway. A year ago Jags detonated roaring headlines by emigrating to Russia. Now there's hardly a whisper about JJ. Let's not forget that Jaromir – same as Sean Avery – could have remained a Ranger. There was a reasonable deal there for him to return, but he chose to chase pucks in Putinville. It says here that he regrets the move – deeply!"

I miss Jagr. He was the most talented player ever to wear a Rangers jersey. Unstoppable!
