Bruce Garrioch at the Ottawa Sun reports that league sources say the Rangers remain interested in Senators forward Dany Heatley but is not close to a deal.
Senators GM Bryan Murray said the chances of deal happening before camp are slim.
...similar to the report linking the Rangers to Phil Kessel, the Blueshirts just don't have the cap room (unless Ottawa is willing to take back Drury, Redden or Rozsival) to bring in Heatley.
