Canadiens 5, Rangers 4, OT

The New York Rangers (7-3-1) lost to the Montreal Canadiens (5-5-0) by the score of 5-4 in overtime, yesterday. For a recap and box score go to Yahoo! Sports and newyorkrangers.com.

...deep breath Ranger fans. I know it's three losses in a row, but at least the games are entertaining. If this was last year that would have been a tough to sit through 3-1 yawner. Man, the Bell Centre has really become the Rangers personal 'House of Horrors.'

...tough night for Dubinsky and Higgins. Not exactly the homecoming the former Hab was looking for. Dubi can't make that turnover there. Turned the whole game around.

...the Rangers might think about putting someone on Camalleri the next time they play the Canadiens. Especially in OT.

...Lundqvist as usual was outstanding but he's got to make that save on Bergeron from the point.

...i guess all the Rangers need to do to get someone going offensively is put them on the fourth line. Anisimov being the latest example. Torts, it may be time to give Higgins a shift down there.

...i officially hate Gomez again.

...oh yeah, the Rangers have another rookie defenseman.

...Gaborik and Kotalik continue to be the only Blueshirts to supply consistent offense for the Rangers. It may be time for 'Captain Comeback' to make an appearance.

...Petr Prucha and Yotes on Monday.

I thought it was a little excessive benching Dubinsky for an ENTIRE period. Does Torts really think Voros and Boyle will score?

It was so painful watching him sit there on the bench and having the fourth line go out there.

Torts is an excessive kind of guy. These are the things we're going to have to deal with every now and then. That being said, I don't think Dubinsky deserved to be benched for an entire period. If anyone deserves a benching for a period or even for a whole game it's Higgins (and maybe even Drury too, I thought he was abysmal last night but maybe I'm being partial I've thought he's been awful ever since he signed).

i am all for benching guys when they continue to make the same mistakes over and over ( like the rozival benching) but sitting Dubi and Higgins for the 3rd, and playing boyle and voros is costing us wins....Way to excessive by Torts!!! is Gaborick going to see the bench for not defending against camalleri on the OT goal? of course not!
