Drury: Changes Have Paid Off

In Tim Wharnsby's piece on the Rangers hot start in the Globe and Mail, he has this quote from captain Chris Drury on the off-season moves made by the Rangers...

“The changes we made in the summer have paid off. When you add a game-breaker like Gaborik, he can win a lot of games late for you and he already has," Drury said. “There definitely is a big difference in the style we have played, and they built the team in the summer like that – guys who are big and can skate and can get up the ice and fore-check hard.”

...its been a nice little start to the season, but that perception can change in a heartbeat with a clunker against a tough Sharks team.

...i don't want to put too much emphasis on a game at the end of October, but if the Rangers can take care of San Jose tonight, I think it really gives them an extra shot of confidence that they can run with the big boys (ie Pittsburgh, Philly and Washington) and set them up for a nice run at the Atlantic Division title.
