Dubinsky Being Considered for Team USA

Jeff Z. Klein at Slap Shot reports that even though he was not invited to the United States Olympic team’s orientation camp in August, Brandon Dubinsky is now being seriously considered for a spot on Team USA...

“We’re looking at him closely,” said Brian Burke, the United States general manager, “along with Ryan Callahan and Chris Drury from the Rangers.”

...assuming Dubinsky's struggles last year led to him not being invited to orientation camp. However, his strong start to the season has been too good to ignore.

...unfortunately for the Rangers, this means another one of their top players is going to be susceptible to injury in the Olympics.
