Gaborik Update

Update, 11:40 p.m.:
Steve Zipay at Blue Notes has this quote from Gaborik on the injury...

"It's nothing related to my groin or hip or torso," Gaborik said afterward. "We'll see how everything is in the morning. I collided with one of their players, but it's nothing major. It happened with about five minutes left and the game was pretty much over."

...the news keeps getting better.

Update, 10:45 p.m.:
Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants reports that Gaborik spent a long time in the trainers room after the game but was not limping when he emerged and said the injury wasn’t related to his groin or hip, injuries that limited him to 17 games last season.

On the severity of the injury, Gaborik noted...

“We’ll see how everything is in the morning.”

...very encouraging news.

Original Post:
During John Tortorella's press conference he was asked about Marian Gaborik's injury and said that the team sent him to the locker room early because the game was already decided.

He also noted that he didn't see the injury and hadn't spoken with the trainers.

...i don't want to speculate, but at least that sounds a little positive. Better than if he came out and said Gaborik was having x-rays.

...assuming we won't hear anything until tomorrow.
