Rangers Talk Loss to Sharks

Here are quotes from Blueshirt players sent out by the Rangers...

John Tortorella on tonight’s game…
“We have some things to work on. Again, the first two periods, we weren’t as bad as what the score was at that point. I don’t think we were terrible. They score some goals and we don’t. Started off fine…put ourselves in penalty problems. To me, watching the game, it wasn’t as bad as the score was at that particular time, but we have some things to work on.”

Chris Drury on tonight’s game…
“We did get off to a good start. We were 2-0, we got some penalties that got us in trouble. The good thing is, no matter, in this league, how bad you lose, it is just one game. It is two points. We have a few days to rebound. We have a big divisional rivalry game on Thursday (vs. New Jersey).”

Vinny Prospal on taking penalties…
“We have been talking about this for some time…about the penalties. If you look at their personnel, this is a team that has a lot of skilled players that capitalize on the power plays and that is what happened tonight. It is something we have to learn from, especially from the penalties.”

Brandon Dubinsky on tonight’s game…
“It is a game of momentum. We came out, and I thought we had a good start. We had the momentum early. We took a couple of penalties, that killed the momentum and they scored. We just weren’t able to get it back. I think that is something we need to learn how to do, is get the momentum back. We just have to learn from this one and make sure we are ready to go for Thursday.”

...doesn't help when your goalie doesn't come through either.
