Craig Costance at The Sporting News reports that Mike Richter has been mentioned as a successor for Paul Kelly who was removed as executive director of the NHLPA...Richter on being mentioned...
"Look, anybody who played in the era the last two decades benefited an awful lot from a strong PA," Richter said. "I would certainly be there to help."
Ian Penny is currently the interim executive director.
...i guess this will put his congressional aspirations on hold.
