Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants inquired as to why Dane Byers was summoned from Hartford over Evgeni Grachev and received this answer from John Tortorella...“That’s the call we got from the coaches down there,” Rangers coach John Tortorella said.
Gross adds that the Rangers see Byers as the better player right now.
...hey, if the Gernander and Schoenfeld don't feel the kid is ready, I've got to respect their opinion. However, it would have been cool to see Grachev out there tonight.
