Arnason Signs with Team in Europe, Suspended By Rangers

Beyond the Blueshirts is reporting that the Rangers have suspended Tyler Arnason after the veteran forward signed with an unspecified team in Europe.

Arnason had been playing for the Hartford Wolf Pack since being cut by the Rangers during training camp. Arnason signed a one year, two-way contract worth $700,000 with the Rangers this summer.

...why are the Rangers suspending him? They should be packing his bags.

they "suspended" him to enable him to leave the team to play in europe. you can't have two valid contracts on different continents, so the suspension was to allow him to pursue this opportunity. wise move, but I thought at first he had violated team policy or something.
