Higgins Moved to Center

Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants reports that Chris Higgins was centering P.A. Parenteau and Ales Kotalik at practice today.

Gross adds that John Tortorella also had Vinny Prospal centering Enver Lisin and Marian Gaborik and Brian Boyle back on the fourth line between Donald Brashear and Aaron Voros. Artem Anisimov and Sean Avery were on a two-thirds line today with RW Ryan Callahan missing today’s practice.

...Torts needs to take the reins off of Avery. The guys is playing scared out there. Which has rendered him virtually useless.

On being recalled, Parenteau said...

“It’s the same emotion for me,” Parenteau said. “I’m glad I could come back so quickly after getting sent down. I talked to Torts quite a bit and he said keep doing what you’re doing and that’s what I did.”

On turning this around, Henrik Lundqvist explained...

“We need to turn this around, it’s time,” Lundqvist said. “We know we have a more skill than last year.”
