Thrashers 5, Rangers 3

The New York Rangers (10-8-1) lost to the Atlanta Thrashers (8-6-1) by the score of 5-3, tonight. For a recap and box score go to Yahoo! Sports and newyorkrangers.com.

...tough to win when you're playing catch-up all night. They had four days to prepare for the game and get scored on 19 seconds into the game. What's up with that?

...even with the poor start, the game was decided in the final three minutes of the second period. Atlanta looked like they were playing with an extra attacker.

...can we please stay out of the box?

...too bad Kovalchuk couldn't take an extra day off. His shot is sick.

...nice to see Callahan sticking up for himself. He got beat like he was Voros, but he doesn't back down to anyone.

...ho-hum two more assists for Del Zotto.

...Gaborik's release amazes me more and more every game.

...first bad game I've seen from Redden in a while. Some awful giveaways.

...nothing worse than having a shot deflect off your face and go in your own net. Right Girardi.

...can Benoit Allaire please work with Lundqvist on his stick handling?

...got to be excited about what Anisimov is going to bring to this franchise for years to come.

...might be time to bring up Grachev to shake things up a bit because this team is officially in a tailspin.

...Brashear gained a little respect in my book for throwing down despite an obviously still sore right hand.

...off tomorrow then up to Ottawa for a Saturday afternoon game.

Im done with Tortorella.

once a coach puts his agenda ahead of the talent and good of the team, its over.

He has ruined Avery, who was a legit 20-25 goal scorer and turned him into a 4th line role player, if that.

He continues to play Redden despite his inability to do ANYTHING except turn the puck over every chance he gets. he taps opposing forwards like a men's league player, its really disgraceful.

Brashear? really? talk about a complete waste of space and ice time, he bring NOTHING to the table at this point, he cant even fight anymore, its pathetic. id rather be shorthanded for his shifts.

Callahan and Higgins have heart, but they also have brick hands and cant score.

Getting embarrassed at home by Atlanta after a week off is inexcusable.

There is no plan, just hope Gaborik scores, and thats it.

Fuck you Sather, Fuck you Tortorella, Fuck You Dolan.

I agree with everything smashMark is saying... Torts has his own agenda and seems to careless about the outcomes of games.... As long as the players play his way it seems like he is happy with that..... He says he wants players to step up but how can you do that when you play gaborik and prospal for 28 mins.... Keep it up and gaborik will be hurt in a week....
Awful..... Bring back renney!!
