Valley In, Lisin Returns

Steve Zipay at Blue Notes reports that Steve Valiquette will start in goal against the Oilers tonight.

"We had said he was going to get one game on the trip and this it it," said coach John Tortorella.

...this is a big game for Valley. Tortorella is notorious for having a short leash with goalies and after bombing in his last start against San Jose, a slip up here might have the Rangers looking for a new back-up.

Zipay also notes that Enver Lisin will return to action after missing last game due to a foot injury.

Finally, Zipay was able to catch-up with former Rangers head coach and current Oilers associate coach Tom Renney, who had this to say about tonight's game...

"I can't fib. It's been on my mind. I want to get it over with."

Renney also noted that he spoke with Jaromir Jagr about six weeks ago and that he's on the Oilers radar for next season.
