Prospal to Have Knee Scoped

Update, 4:00 p.m.:
The Rangers have released the latest on the surgery here.

Original Post:
Larry Brooks, via Twitter, reports that Vinny Prospal's knee is going to be 'scoped and will miss anywhere from 10 days to 3 weeks.

...injuries have been really hampering the Rangers of late and this latest is the last thing this team needed.

...not sure where the Rangers go to replace Prospal. Christensen? Voros? Grachev? I'd like to see Grachev, but from all the reports I've seen he's not NHL ready.

Steve Zipay at Blue Notes has more.

This is the worst thing to the rangers since Gaborik missed 2 games. Huge blow to the team's offense. The only good thing is that Prospal will get some much needed rest for 2 weeks and will recharge for the second half.

How bad is the rangers' luck that Prospal goes 5 straight years playing 80+ games and now misses 2 weeks minimum in his first as a ranger

This is not good... but then again, without him in the line-up we dont need to worry about seeing him screaming at the refs every time he goes offsides.
