Newyorkrangers.com reports that Rangers prospect and Team USA Captain Derek Stepan had a goal and two assists in USA's 7-3 win over Team Slovakia in the opener of the World Junior Championships.
2009 #1 pick Chris Kreider also hit the scoresheet with an assist in the game, while Ryan Bourque was held scoreless.
Team USA will face Switzerland on Sunday.
